About Me

I had spent many years wondering why life was so difficult and complicated.

Somehow I was not privy to the undisclosed set of social rules that everyone else lived by. It all seemed to be so much easier for others around me.

I never seemed to be able to get to where I thought I ought to be, despite being capable in many areas and exceptional in one or two, I was unable to decide if I was stupid or competent.

Despite being highly driven and working hard, my exam and degree results never reflected my abilities. I struggled in the classroom at school and was rudderless at university.

I started out as a creative, a photographer and illustrator but eventually found myself having to work at something where I felt like a complete alien – an imposter. It was really hard. Back then, I was unable to sustain secure and loving relationships, these would often be harmful.

Despite this, I built a successful career, travelling and working overseas, managing global and national teams. I aimed to be the very best at what I did. This hyper-achieving was in the extreme. In fact, everything I felt and thought, was extreme – no middle ground. On one hand I was creative, impulsive and dysregulated and on the other bound by repetitive limiting behaviours and beliefs, but to others – completely fine, if not a little eccentric.

It took all of my energy to perform, behave and fit, like everyone else. There was nothing left for me. It was lonely as I believed there was no-one I could trust or anyone who would understand.

I spent years refining coping strategies, tools and analysing triggers. Things improved and I eventually was able to perform, live better and tap into my potential.

It had taken me the best part of 40 years!

And then I discovered ADHD Works through which I trained and certified as an ADHD coach and received coaching.

This coaching methodology has changed my life and continues to do so - and it will change yours.

Don’t take years, start now.

My Approach

My coaching approach focuses on safe exploration and discovery.

Together, we'll delve into your values, interests, and aspirations to help you identify potential goals with measurable outcomes in order to develop valuable skills and new, positive and constructive strategies. Most importantly, you will learn to recognise your achievements and reward yourself. These goals may be very small and simple, but the ‘wins’ – significant.

From small realisations, come big shifts.

Together we will also address the underlying challenges that may be holding you back, from setting or achieving goals.

The twelve week programme is based on ADHD Works’ (www.adhdworks.info) unique coaching principles, using neuroscience-based framework to strengthen executive functioning skills. These are often highly impacted by the symptoms of ADHD and Autism.

These areas are:

Emotional Regulation, Time Management, Impulsivity, Problem solving, Memory, Self-awareness and Motivation.

Via this framework, we also explore the impact of Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria, sensory overload, hormones, sleep, relationships with food, nutrition and your environment (work, education and homelife contexts).

There is no fee for the discovery call. This is an hour and fifteen minutes to get to know each other and for you to experience coaching and understand more about what the programme entails. It is important to ascertain if you are in a good place to embark on the coaching journey in order to get the most out of the commitment.

Whilst I am not a medical professional, I have sought out additional training to and pursue continuous professional development. I have applied study to common accompaniments to ADHD such as depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD and substance abuse. Additional courses are in progress along with the attendance of summits, webinars, reading research papers and maintaining a network of Neurodiverse professionals specialising in ADHD, Autism, Dyspraxia and Dyslexia.
